These 27.5 inch 650b Mountain bike rear wheels incorporate black 32 hole Halo SAS rims, black Shimano Deore XT M756, 6-bolt disc rear hubs, Halo black spokes and nipples. The SAS from Halo is a multi-purpose heavy duty MTB rim with a proven record for re-defining strength. Made from T-10 heat treated alloy the SAS has an inner rim width of 30mm, an external rim width of 36mm and is recommended for tyres ranging between 2.25 to 2.8 inch. The Shimano Deore XT M756 disc rear hubs are the perfect partners for Shimano’s Deore XT hydraulic disc brake system. The hub shells are made from anodised aluminium with a strong 9mm CrMo axle on the rear. They have sealed contact bearings to increase service life by preventing water and mud ingress, and low-friction Borozon treated bearing races for a precision rolling action. The hubs are set for 135mm quick release (skewer provided), with a Shimano HG freehub that will take 8 to 12 speed MTB cassettes, or up to 10 speed road cassettes. The rims are 3-cross laced to the hubs with Halo black spokes and nipples. Wheels have been hand trued, dished and spokes tensioned according to rim manufacturers recommendations.
