These 27.5 inch 650b Touring, trekking, and mountain bike wheelsets incorporate black 36 hole Ryde Andra 321 disc rims, black Shimano Deore XT M756, 6-bolt disc rear hubs, Halo black spokes and nipples. All Andra rims are built to withstand and carry more load than regular rims and can ideally be used for not only regular e-bikes, but also transport bikes with or without motor support. The Andra 321 disc rim has a 21mm internal rim which is optimised for 23-45mm tyres, and a higher profile gives better stability. The Shimano Deore XT M756 disc rear hubs are the perfect partners for Shimano’s Deore XT hydraulic disc brake system. The hub shells are made from anodised aluminium with a strong 9mm CrMo axle on the rear. They have sealed contact bearings to increase service life by preventing water and mud ingress, and low-friction Borozon treated bearing races for a precision rolling action. The hubs are set for 100mm/135mm quick release – skewers provided. The rear Shimano HG freehub will take 8 to 12 speed MTB cassettes, or up to 10 speed road cassettes. The rims are 3-cross laced to the hubs with Halo black spokes and nipples. Wheels have been hand trued, dished and spokes tensioned according to rim manufacturers recommendations.
