700c DT Swiss Gravel G540 Disc Rim, Shimano RS470 Centrelock Hub Wheelsets, 100mm 142mm x 12mm

This is for some newly hand built 28 inch 700c gravel bike wheelsets incorporating brand new black DT Swiss G540 db disc rims, brand new black Shimano RS470 front and rear centrelock disc specific hubs, and Sapim Leader silver stainless steel spokes and nickel plated brass nipples. After extensive testing DT Swiss have settled on a full 24mm as the perfect width for modern Gravel bikes. The added width gives better support to wide, 35c or larger tyres, allowing the use of lower pressures, enhancing grip & comfort whilst reducing rolling resistance & tyre flex under cornering. Robust, sleeved construction gives a great value package for a wide gravel rim with a suggested maximum system weight of 130kg. The rims can be used with or without tubes. The black anodised and polished Shimano RS470 hubs are good value 12mm through axle centrelock rotor fitment road/gravel hubs. They comprise high quality cup and cone bearings and a special Boron Nitride machining process is applied to the cones for super smooth rotation. The freehub can take up to 11 speed Shimano HG road cassettes. The hubs are set for 100mm x 12mm front and 142mm x 12mm rear. Choose between 28 spoke front/28 spoke rear; or 28 spoke front/32 spoke rear. The rims are 3-cross laced to the hubs with Sapim Leader silver stainless steel spokes and nickel plated brass nipples. These beautiful wheelsets have been hand trued, dished and spokes tensioned according to rim manufacturers recommendations. Wheels are bubble wrapped and boxed properly.
